Today I'm going to share a Sesame balls recipe. It's so easy to make; you just need to control the temperature of the oil to make delicious sesame seed balls.
First, add 100 g of sugar and 160 ml of water to a bowl, mix well, and set aside.
Then add 250 g of glutinous rice flour and 1.6 g of sesame ball puffer in a bowl and mix well.
Pour the sugar water into the bowl, mix well and knead the glutinous rice flour with your hands to form a smooth dough.
Then divide the entire dough into several smaller portions.
You can also add bean paste or other fillings in the center of the dough.
Knead the dough into a round shape and dip the surface of the dough into a small amount of water.
Then roll the dough in a bowl with sesame to coat the top of the dough.
Then knead the dough with your hands to make sure the sesame sticks to the dough more tightly, so that they don't fall off when frying the sesame balls.
In a frying pan, add 1 L of cooking oil and turn on low heat. Wait until the oil temperature reaches 140 degrees Celsius. Then, carefully place the sesame ball into the oil. At this point, use a spoon to drizzle oil over the top of the sesame ball. The sesame ball will slowly expand.
Although the production method of fried sesame balls is simple, you must control the oil temperature. Heat the sesame balls over low heat when they are first placed in the frying pan, and over high heat for a short time when they are about to come out of the frying pan. The perfect sesame balls are hollow and crispy, and they won't collapse when they cool down.
