What I'm going to make today is Vegan Drumsticks, which are primarily made from wheat gluten and bamboo shoots.
Method for Making Water Gluten: Mix 400 g of flour, 400 ml of water, and 4 g of salt evenly, then knead the mixture into a dough. Next, place the dough in water and knead it continuously. The water will gradually become clear, leaving behind a sticky batter known as gluten.
Then prepare 200 g of fresh bamboo shoots and cut them into long strips.
Then take a ball of gluten and wrap it around a cut bamboo shoot, making it resemble a chicken leg.
Add 150 g of cooking oil to the wok, heat it up, and then place the vegetarian chicken leg into the wok. Reduce the heat to low and fry for 3 minutes, flipping the chicken leg halfway through to ensure both sides are golden brown.
Then add 200 ml of water to the pot and heat it. Add the freshly fried Vegan Drumsticks, followed by 5 g of white sugar, 10 g of light soy sauce, and 5 g of dark soy sauce. Boil for 2 minutes, and the Vegan Drumsticks will be ready.
You can also add chili, pepper powder, vinegar, and other ingredients in the final step to season the dish, making the Vegan Drumsticks even more delicious.
