  • 40 g white sugar
  • 30 g glutinous rice flour
  • 20 g flour
  • 50 g hot water

  • Then put the red beans into the steamer and steam for 30 minutes,You can also boil the red beans for 30 minutes.
  • Steamed red beans can be easily crushed by hand.
  • Pour the steamed red beans into the pot,Then add 40 g sugar, 30 g glutinous rice flour, 20 g flour,The purpose of adding flour is to make the red bean cake more chewy and non-sticky.
  • Mix well and coat the red beans with a layer of flour,Then add 50 g of hot water,Continue to mix until smooth.
  • Spread a layer of greased paper on the plate, the greased paper can make it easier to unmold,Pour the red beans on the oiled paper and spread the red beans with a spoon.
  • Then put the red beans into the steamer and steam for 20 minutes on high heat,If there are a lot of red beans, you can extend the time.
  • Then let the steamed red beans cool down,Run a knife around the edge of the plate.
  • Unmold the plate upside down.
  • Tear off the oil paper on the red beans.
  • Cut the red bean cake into the shape you like with a knife,Swipe left and right when cutting,The red bean cake cut in this way will be more complete and will not be damaged.

Notes
1、 If you want to make red bean cake, you need to soak the red beans in water one day in advance.
2、 You can use honey and jam instead of sugar to make the red bean cake more flavorful.
3、 The recipe I shared uses 130 g red beans, but the plate is relatively large, so the finished red bean cake is very thin. You can use more red beans, or use a smaller plate, and the resulting red bean cake will be thicker. This red bean cake looks even better after being cut into pieces.
